For all tours, a reservation fee of € 500 is required, with an additional payment of € 1,500 by bank transfer or PayPal six months prior to your start date. The balance will be due at our meetup. After we receive your Inscription Form, we will invoice you via PayPal for
the deposit. Your Inscription is not complete until we receive your
deposit.

equipment, meals, and B&B or hotel accommodations. (see FAQ What is
included)
Twelve
guests plus three guides. This assures a compact group with close attention to
individual needs.
If you are traveling alone, you may not be required to pay a surcharge. If you wish, we will place you in a room with another paddler of the same sex. (not sharing a bed, only a room with two beds) If we do not have another paddler to share or you choose not to share, we will arrange, when possible, a single room for an extra fee. In 2025, the single charge is €520 for a 10-day tour and €380 for a 6-day tour. In 2026, the single extra is €600 for the 10-day tour and €440 for the 6-day tour. In 2027, the single surcharge is €660 for a 10-day tour and €484 for a 6-day tour.
After
receiving your enrollment forms, we will email you a PayPal invoice for your
deposit payment. As our margin is minimal, we would appreciate it if you could cover all the costs associated with sending the payments to us. We must receive 500€ per person. The second payment of € 1,500, payable by bank transfer or PayPal, is due six months prior to your tour start date. The final invoice, including any bank charges, will be due in cash or by bank transfer at the meetup. You will receive your Final Invoice
two months before your start date.
All payments are non-refundable if Douro Kayak does not cancel the
trip. We recommend you purchase travel insurance that includes cancellation
coverage.
Douro Kayak reserves the right to cancel any trip up to 60 days before the Start Date due to minimal numbers. The minimum number is 6 for the 9-night tour and 4 for the 6-night tour. We will keep you updated at all times.
